Brief History

Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa was previously called Merlin Beach Resort way back in 2000, and was transferred under the Marriott brand in 2016. Since then, the property underwent renovations and remodelling, resulting to what it looks today.

Trevor May, the hotels general manager, explains that the property was closed down in June 2017 fore rebranding and reopening. It was done to provide a personal and unforgettable experience to their guests. The property has been a popular destination for many European and Australian tourists. He adds that the hotel aims to become a family resort.
